2017 Exceptional Muslimah, Inas Mutan

Writer: isssj5isssj5

Inas's high school years were a roller coaster. She accomplished so much these passed 4 years MaSha Allah. During freshman year, Inas was homeschooled , and after completing 9th grade she went on a beautiful and exciting journey to Palestine where she had the chance to visit the Holy Place of Al Aqsa. Inas got to experience living in Palestine for one year and the beauty of living in a land of all Muslims. Inas became fluent in the Arabic language and learned more about Islam during her travels. It was very challenging but Alhamdulillah she managed to pass every class. It was the hardest and most adventurous year of her life. In her junior and senior years, Inas joined several extracurricular activites. She was on the debate team, ran track, managed the softball team and joined the MSA. This past year, Inas was volunteering at Jeanes hospital as well as at a nursing home. Inas also became the first hijabi to participate in the fashion show at Northeast High School. Inas worked very hard to maintain her grades and, Alhamdulillah, she graduated with honors. It is her dream to pursue a career in nursing, so she was very excited when she received the acceptance letter from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Temple University, which she will start this Fall, Inshallah.
